Manchester United Transfer: Fellani and Baines on United's Radar

The former Everton boss was disappointed by failed moves for Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas and now Manchester United are  keen to sign Everton’s midfielder Marouane Fellani. Everton’s manager Roberto Martinez is reported that Fellani may sign for Manchester United before the close of transfer window.

However, a report from Goal.com claims Martinez is resigned to losing a player - despite the presence of a £23 million release clause that ran until the end of July, there was no bid from the Premier League champions. The Guardian reports, though, that Moyes is now considering making an offer to Everton, likely to be able to negotiate a fee lower than the previous buyout clause, but remains confident of keeping another of his charges, Leighton Baines, from the control of Manchester United.

United’s new manager David Moyes is weighing up the vision of a double swoop on his former club and making a joint-offer worth a minimum of £35 million for Fellaini and Baines.

However Baines is a slightly different matter as Manchester United don’t look like offering the money Everton want. However, a higher offer of between £35-45 million for the Belgian and the Englishman would seriously test the Merseyside club’s resolve to hang on to the players.
