Gareth Bale: From an incompetent Left-Back to a World Beater: The RISE!

Young Boy, Big Dreams!

Everyone is talking about this starlet's imminent move to Real Madrid. We take a look at how this Welshman gained such prominence to become world's most expensive player ever.

Valued at a whopping 65m pounds at transfermarkt.com, The Rise from this Saint is nothing less than exceptional and indeed very rare. When was the last time a Welshman was valued that highly? Giggs was'nt. From a country that has produced talents this lad has surpassed all expectations and if the move goes through considering his age, only GOD knows what he will end up like.

Starting his career as a Left-back at Southampton, Bale's only specialty was his ability to take free-kicks and his powerful left foot. In his first competitive season which was back in 2006/07 he scored 5 goals and assisted 11 primarily playing as a LB.

Southampton never knew what they had!

He moved to Tottenham Hotspurs on a deal which ended up costing Spurs 7m.

His first season was halted due to injury and when he did come back the next season his performances as a LB were not good enough to stamp down a regular starting place in the line-up. Season 08/09, and 09/10 saw him score a combined three goals in the premiership.

Injuries could not keep the Bale Down!

Knee injuries have been his problem as he has had 3 surgeries on his knees. Since 2009, and especially since the takeover of Redknapp from Juande Ramos, Bale was promoted more up the field to become an offensive mind player and he did not disappoint.  Season 10/11 saw him scoring 7 goals in the EPL and also scoring a hatrick at the San Siro when Spurs went to play their in the UCL.

That moment, hatrick and match ball under his arm!

That was the beginning of the rise of the Welshman as performances started to pick up and he become a force to be reckoned with. Season 10/11 saw him scoring 10 and assisting 14 goals and then came the big breakout season, the previous season where he amassed an impressive 21 EPL goals and 31 in all competitions. He has 6 International goals so far in his career as well.

6 International goals with many more to come!

Steadily the price went higher and higher but after the performances last season the price went over the roof and is now understood to be around some where in the 90m+ zone. It is not only the goals that his game brings, its his overall ability of affect games, the ability to step up when the team desperately wants him to, its his nag to get in to places where he can affect the state of the game is what has made him the hottest talent in the world available.

No. 11 with No. 7, a real possibility!

If the deal goes through we will be able to see Messi and Neymar at Barcelona, and Ronaldo and Bale at Real Madrid. It will be beauty against strength, gile vs pace, intricate passing vs dribbling, close-range goals vs long-range screamers, it will be north vs south, and on top of all this, it will be super-amazing.

Clearly not incompetent as a left back. He was one of the country's hottest prospects at 16. Was unreal in the Championship as a young player.

Get your facts straight before you post absolute drivel.
