Where are the eyes of the referees?

All eyes are on the horrible act that Luis Suarez committed on Sunday evening by biting Branislav Ivanovic, but while the whole world saw it, the man or should I write men who should have seen did not. How can a referee miss such an incident of a player biting an opponents' arm like that?

The days of having two linesmen and a referee in football are long gone, now they have assistant referees, 4th referees, goal-line referees, etc. etc. But what are these referees doing? Game after game and week after week we are left to discuss the incompetence of referees and the howlers they commit. Search through the forums throughout the season and at least one match has been marred by stupid, poor, refereeing howlers throughout all of the game weeks.

Questions have been asked of the FA again to ban Luis Suarez, and to fine him, and do this and do that, but why can't a simple question be asked to FA: Why cant you hire competent referees so that issues like these be resolved where they are supposed to be resolved; and that is on the football pitch. Luis Suarez should have been red-carded right then and there and in result there would not have been a late-goal from him to deprive Chelsea 3 crucial points. If, at the end of the season Chelsea are deprived of Uefa Champions League qualification by 2 points, what good a Suarez suspension do to Chelsea? If the referee had seen the incident, and let me tell you it was very close to the assistant referee behind the goal, it should have put Liverpool down to 10 men, and Chelsea would have won that game. This is just one such example; there have been an array of horrible refereeing decisions throughout the Premiership campaign this season and that has to be the immediate concern for FA.

Yes, Suarez should be banned, Sergio Aguero should have been banned for his stamp on David Luiz, but where is the man in the middle and what is he doing? If this is the level of negligence from an employee working for any other organization, he would be handed his termination letter the very next morning. Then why cant the FA take bold steps by suspending the referee, imposing a ban on him, coming out and apologizing to the affected party on behalf of their incompetent recruitment.

Errors are common and human-beings are prune to it, but then why such a logic should only be implemented in case of the referees, then Suarez is a human-being and he should be forgiven as well, should'nt he? But he should not; nor should the referee be let go that easily!
