World Cup Qualifying: Mexico face Hondouras!

The Mexicans face a Honduras side which they have not beaten in their backyard for more than two decades. This is a stern test for the South American powerhouse which they need to pass, having already drawn against Jamaica in the first game of the CONACACAF WORLD CUP QUALIFIER.

Honduras comeback against the United States must have given them much belief, and they look likely to get a result against a Mexico side which does not look that in front of goal. In their last 5 matches, they have only scored more than two goals in one game, that too against a poor Guyana side.
For Honduras, they thrashed Canada 8-1 and are undefeated in their last 5 games.

Here are the probable line ups and how they might be placed on the pitch:

HONDURAS

 ---------------------------------------Valladares--------------------------------------
Figueroa---------- Bernardez----------------Juan Carlos Garcia---------Izaguirre

       Martinez--------- Espinoza--------------Garrido------------ Boniek Garcia

     ------------------------- Bengtson-------------------Costly--------------

Men to Watch:  Carlos Costly (Striker)

Appearances: 58
Goals: 24
The striker was fantastic against the United States, and created quite a havoc for the States defense. Hondouras would be looking towards him for providing inspiration once again as they look to down El Tri. Bengston is the young crop along with Costly but Costly's experience may well be the difference maker in this one.

MEXICO

                                                     Corona
Torres Nilo ---------------------Rodriguez-------------Moreno--------Meza

              --------------------- Salcido--------------------- Zavala

 Guardado------------------ dos Santos-------------------- Aquino

                                   Hernandez.

Men To Watch: Giovani Dos Santos (Attacking Midfielder)

 Appearances: 59

 Goals: 14

Having left Spurs, he has sprung into life and now fulfilling his potential. Starting regularly for Mallorca, and proving a pivotal player for him, he has brought those club performances and transformed them to the international stage. He can score goals, quick feet, and can thread that ball in for Hernandez to capitalize. For Mexico to look to go behind Honduras, he needs to create a lot and be involved in almost every attack that Mexico initiate.

Prediction:
Hondouras 2- Mexico 2
The jinx is going to continue and Mexico will find it difficult to win away to Honduras. The game is going to end in a brace-draw.

Please let us know who you think can turn the tide in this one!
