Dont expect Arsenal to do what Barcelona did!
They may play a similar style, they may look to prosper young talent but there is a gulf in class so visible between the two sides that there is just no possible way for Arsenal to crawl back against German Giants Bayern Munich. But still here is what I think they can do to possibly get a result, although it seems highly unlikely.
Here are a few tricks and things that Arsenal would be looking to do if they need to get a result out of the Allianz Arena. It seems highly improbable but as we know, impossible is nothing in football.
And that is the first point. Frequently, in big games Arsenal are given the titles of kids going up against men.If there is one game where Arsene Wenger needs to man-up his young side this is the one. Up against Germans, in their back-yard, this is where Wenger has to show he has what it takes to challenge for top accolades again. In order to do so, Wenger needs to install the mentality of nothing is impossible, there is nothing to be afraid, that the team is good enough to go and get a result.
Oh absolutely! It is an absolute certainty that Arsenal needs to play at pace. They can not afford to dwell too long on the ball, make incorrect and lazy decisions. They have to be certain to get some pace and do a lot of off-the ball running. They need goals and pace is going to bring it. I do not think Olivier Giroud is going to have a lot of joy against Bayern's Center-backs.
This might be a game where Arsenal are not going to enjoy a lot of possession as Bayern Munich are a master of keeping the ball themselves. Arsenal might have to play a different game, a different brand, a different style of football to get possession and attacking impetus. Possibly, a counter-attacking game, a direct game using Pace and using efficient spreading of the ball. They need not to be careless like AC Milan were against Barcelona, they need to be efficient.
I may have talked about pace earlier, but in order for guys like Walcott and Cazorla to work at pace, this man here needs to pull the strings at the highest of his abilities. He may not be a natural holding midfielder but his play making abilities are highly impeccable. He needs to spread out the ball efficiently, keep hold off the ball when ever it comes Arsenal's way, and also break up play to provide counter-attacking prowess. If Arsenal are looking to do anything, it depends upon how Mikel Arteta plays
You can give your thoughts on how Arsenal can mount a Barca-esque comeback and what you think Arsene needs to do to get a result.
