Toffes host Citizens: Fans Expectations

Evertonians host the Citizens with both teams looking for victory to reach their expected targets. Everton are in a middle of a poor run while Manchester City are coming on the back of a 5-0 thumping of Leeds United.

Fans expectations around Everton have risen as they sense europe and another finish above Liverpool. While, David Moyes' future is still uncertain, the future for Everton remains cozy and comfortable. They have assets to sell off if they face a restrictive financial situation and definitely the chairman must have some one in mind to replace Moyes, that is if he decides to move on.

For the blue half of Manchester, this has been an itchy season, some times they have looked like the world beaters they were last season, playing absolutely impeccable and beautiful football and sometimes they have looked sloppy, lethargic and uncertain. The fans have been let down as the FA Cup is probably the only chance of silverware, but the red devils and the FA Cup holders stand their way, they will face one of them in the semis. The match comes after Everton went to sleep for 10 minutes against Wigan and went 3-0 down, and out of the cup. Everton needs to bounce back and Goodison park requires them to bounce back. Manchester City, need to win to show intent and desire, and life to stay in the hunt.
